Who was Kobe Bryant?

Kobe Bryant was a american basketball player who was drafted to the Charlotte Hornets in 1996 and only one month later was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers where he spent the rest of his 20 year carrer. Kobe Bean Bryant was born August 23, 1978 in Philadelphia, PA. Kobe's mother Pam Bryant and Kobe's father Joe Bryant raised Kobe his whole life. Kobe went to high school at Low Merion High School in PA. He graduated in 1996 and went to the NBA Draft straight after. Kobe Bryant was selected as the 13th pick in the first round by the Charlotte Hornets. Kobe's 1996 draft class was a special one; Along with Kobe: Allen Iverson, Marcus Camby, Ray Allen, and Steve Nash. Kobe only spent one month with the Charlotte Hornets before being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers where he spent the rest of his carrer.


What records does Kobe hold?

Kobe currently has the NBA records for the most succesful free throws by a guard, he has the most points scored in a single arena; he had 16,161 points in the Staples Center in his 20 seasons. He then went on to become to the oldest player to score over 60 points in a single game where he scored 60 points against the Utah Jazz in his final game of his carrer. How did Kobe tragically pass?

On January 26, 2020 Kobe and Kobe's daughter Gianna Bryant as with 7 other parents were on a helicopter ride to a girls basketball tournament when ttheir chartered helicopter sadly crashed in the Calabasas hills west of Los Angeles. Federal Saftey Officals blamed the wreck on pilot error due to them flying through heavy fog on January 26th.
